RJ is marketing director and brand strategist, but his super power is recruiting talented creatives, into a collaborative, community. 

That’s why we consider him the Professor X of our team. 

(Don’t tell him we said that. He thinks Professor X is boring.)

New clients work with RJ first. He translates their vision onto mood boards. He brainstorms out-of-the-box ideas. 

He creates strategies to get the right message to the right people. 

He keeps us on schedule during production days and ensures all the videos are stored safely. He communicates with clients during revisions until they’re happy with the final product. 

Then he ushers the social media posts, the ads, the podcasts, and newsletters out into the world.

Creative Director

Raoul is a stabilizing energy on our creative team. You wouldn’t know he was the youngest member in our group, based on his maturity alone. 

He’s the Cyclops leader that brings our untethered ideas back down to earth. 

RJ first saw him while taking photos at a high school event. Raoul was the 16-year-old student on stage, giving a speech during a visit from the governor. 

They connected again during an event with the Urban League of Broward County. Raoul was still young and still impressively showing off skills, this time behind the camera. 

RJ introduced Raoul to Abdul and cajoled him to learn all he could about videography. Abdul did not consider himself a mentor at the time. But by then he was used to RJ’s connective energy pushing him into new challenges.

A powerful team of creators was born.

Abdul-Haleem is a fearless creator who frequently partners with us to translate our clients’ ideas into video artistry. 

His free spirit (and bold sense of fashion) make him the Gambit member of our team. 

RJ first met Abdul in 2018, after noticing they were shooting with the same camera at a community event. 

Their bond was forged when they recognized mutual respect in one another — a quality they rarely saw in other media creators. 

Abdul and Raoul trade the roles of director and cinematographer back and forth, depending on the project.

Renand is our post-production wizard, editing the raw videos we shoot into the masterpieces we share with our clients. 

He rounds out our team as the reliable and introverted Beast

Renand works quickly and efficiently, turning around videos in 7 to 10 business days and responsively handling edits.

Creation Out of Destruction

Once assembled, our budding team of collaborative creators began working on a documentary called “Broken Chains.” 

RJ had this idea of showing how previously incarcerated people transition out of prison. 

We began work on the project in February 2020.

… Yeah. You know where this story is going. 

Up till then, we funneled our creativity into passion projects while comfortably relying on other sources of income. 

Then the Big Bang of the pandemic happened. Suddenly, all the dinosaurs were gone. 

By “dinosaurs,” we mean our paychecks. 

We put a pause on the passion-only project so we could figure out how to eat and keep the bills paid. 

As we looked around, we recognized that other businesses were going through the same storm. 

We decided to focus on how we could help five local businesses stay open. We honed our skills in market research and our results-driven strategy by crafting our own business model in the field.

Then the George Floyd murder reset the national temperature. Again. 

We responded by offering 50 free headshots to Black community leaders and business owners in our South Florida community over the course of 30 days. 

Through that project, we recognized how much we valued community and giving back.

By October of 2020, we booked our first official clients as the newly minted…
